ECNEC okays number of projects
ISLAMABAD: The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) on Saturday approved a number of projects including the revised PC-I of New Gwadar International Airport which is scheduled to become operational by 2024, ARY News reported. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired a meeting of the ECNEC at Prime Minister’s House. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif could not chair the meeting due to other preoccupations. Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzaib, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, the deputy chairman Planning Commission, and representatives of provincial governments as well as senior officers. The meeting considered 21 agenda items recommended to it in various meetings of Central Development Working Party (CDWP) and accorded approval for 19 projects.
