LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Aliya Hamza Malik advised Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior vice president Maryam Nawaz to quit politics and focus on ‘running a household’, ARY News reported on Sunday. In a statement, Aliya Hamza said that the PML-N leader was ‘still shocked’ from PTI’s yesterday power show at Minar-e-Pakistan. Referring to Maryam Nawaz’s allegations, she said that PTI chairman Imran Khan’s ‘facilitators’ were people of Pakistan and he was ‘ladla (blue-eyed)’ of the nation. She also challenged the PML-N leader of giving a speech on her performance. The PTI leader also criticised Maryam for ‘stealing watches’ from Toshakhana and selling, seeking accountability of Nawaz Sharif for taking BMW car for Rs0.6 million. At least 25 people were killed by devastating tornadoes that ripped across the southern US state of Mississippi, tearing off roofs, smashing cars and flattening entire neighborhoods, with the region readying for more severe weather Sunday. The powerful weather system, accompanied by thunderstorms and driving rain, cut a path of more than 100 miles (60 kilometers) across the state late Friday, slamming several towns along the way. Mississippi’s emergency management agency put the death toll at 25, and said dozens more were injured. Four people reported missing “have been found,” it added. NEW DELHI: The Indian government has removed security outside UK High Commission in New Delhi over BBC documentary against Narendra Modi and the removal of the flag from its high commission in London by the Khalistan protestors. Sindh LG by-elections: Polling in 15 districts underway

KARACHI: The polling for Sindh LG by-elections in 15 districts is underway amid strict security measures, ARY News reported on Sunday. The polling is being held for multiple seats including seats for Chairman, Vice Chairman, Member District Council, and General Members. A total of 81 polling stations have been set up across the districts, including 21 separate stations for men and 22 for women as well as 38 combined stations. Hassan Niazi to be handed over to Lahore police

QUETTA: Lahore police have sought the custody of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan’s nephew – Barrister Hassan Khan Niazi, ARY News reported. Balochistan Home Department has penned down a letter to province’s Inspector-General (IG), instructing the latter to hand over Hasan Niazi to Lahore police. The Quetta police had registered a case against Hassan Khan Niazi for inciting violence and interfering in government affairs. In the letter, the home department noted the PTI leader was wanted by Lahore Police in FIR No. 388/23. It also directed IG Balochistan to ensure ‘foolproof’ security of Imran Khan’s nephew. Sources told ARY News that a delegation of Lahore police were present in Quetta for the custody of Hassan Niazi.
