A heartwarming video of students pranking their school teacher for his surprise birthday party in Nepal is going viral on the social media application Instagram. Watch ARY News live on  live.arynews.tv   The viral video was uploaded by the students of Class 12 of Gandaki Boarding School on their Instagram account. It showed a group of students fighting in the classroom. KARACHI: Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) chief Pir Sadaruddin Shah Rashidi, popularly known as Pir Pagara accused the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) of ‘buying’ the elections, ARY News reported. As per detail, Kamran Tessori called on Pir Pagara at his residence and discussed the political situation of the country. ECC approves hike in sales tax for local auto manufacturers

ISLAMABAD: The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet on Wednesday approved a hike in sales tax proposal for vehicles manufactured and assembled in Pakistan, ARY News reported. An ECC meeting of the cabinet was held in Islamabad in which the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) proposed an increase in sales tax for auto sector manufacturing and assembling vehicles at the local level. After a detailed discussion, the ECC cabinet approved the process for determining the 25 percent sales tax rate on locally manufactured and assembled vehicles. Under this approved proposal, a sales tax of 25 percent will be levied on vehicles worth Rs four million or with 1400cc engines, meanwhile, the same tax imposition is expected to continue in the upcoming budget. The imposition of a 25 percent sales tax on 1400cc vehicles is likely to result in a price hike. Shocking: Woman becomes millionaire, landlord by forcing her children to beg

A shocking incident in India saw a woman becoming a millionaire and a landlord by forcing her children beg on the streets. Authorities and NGO caught Indra Bai and her seven-year-old daughter on February 9th.  She was sent to jail on remand for making her children beg, and her daughter got placed in the care of the Non-Government Organization (NGO) Sanstha Pravesh.  Apart from the seven year old, Indra Bai has four more daughters,and she would make them beg in different areas.  During the investigation, Indra Bai told authorities they decided to beg as it was better than stealing. ISLAMABAD: In a proactive move to provide financial relief to the public, the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) on Tuesday approved Rs 7,492.75 million proposed for subsidy in account of Ramazan Relief Package 2024, ARY News reported. A meeting of the ECC was held under the chairmanship of Caretaker Finance Minister Shamshad Akhtar, in which the participants approved a subsidy of Rs 7,492.75 million subsidy in account of Ramazan Relief Package 2024. According to a press statement issued by the finance ministry, the package is aimed at providing subsidy to the targeted beneficiaries of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), which is provided for in the budget for 2023-24. ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Senator Sherry Rehman on Monday asserted that the party has decided to constitute a committee to initiate contacts with other political parties as per the instructions of party chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, ARY News reported. Addressing a press conference following PPP’s Central Executive Committee meeting, she said that the participants deliberated upon on the suggestions – put forward by all the members – and the problems that might arise. During the meeting, it was decided to constitute a committee to initiate contacts with other political parties, Sherry Rehman said. However, the senator added, the PPP’s Central Executive Committee meeting would continue tomorrow and no final decision was taken as of yet.
