‘Game of Thrones’ star Kit Harington explains show’s ‘rushed’ ending

HBO’s blockbuster “Game of Thrones” actor Kit Harington has acknowledged that the popular show’s ending was rushed after eight seasons. In a recent interview with a US media outlet, the actor, who played Jon Snow in the show, said that it was not possible to continue the show as the cast members were exhausted. ‘Game of Thrones’ ended the final season after six episodes compared to the usual ten as fans slammed the showrunners for allegedly rushing the ending of the show. While Kit Harrington agreed with fans that the ending was rushed, he said that all of the actors were tired and could not continue any further “I think if there was any fault with the end of ‘Thrones,’ is that we were all so f–king tired, we couldn’t have gone on longer,” said Harington. “And so I understand some people thought it was rushed and I might agree with them. But I’m not sure there was any alternative. I look at pictures of me in that final season and I look exhausted. I look spent. I didn’t have anoth

Paris Games reboots Olympic brand, raising bar for LA

PARIS: Against all odds, the Paris Olympics have delivered. Just a few weeks ago, the chances of a successful Games in the City of Light seemed slim. France was in a political crisis. Security officials were fearful of an attack. Many French people seemed nonplussed. The International Olympic Committee, under pressure from sponsors and broadcasters after COVID led to largely spectator-less Games in Beijing and Tokyo, could barely afford another miss. But as the Games draw to a close with a ceremony at the Stade de France on Sunday, those fears appear little more than historical footnotes, with Paris rejuvenating the Olympic brand. “France surprised people,” said Michael Payne, a former IOC marketing chief who has also worked with bid cities and sponsors, especially as recent Paris events such as the 2022 UEFA Champions League final had been marred by trouble. It worked beyond anyone’s wildest dreams.” By avoiding costly white elephants, and prioritising temporary stadiums nestled

Speaking on ARY News’ program, “Aiteraz hai”, Ali Mohammad Khan stated that while Maulana Fazlur Rehman and PTI may share the view that there was ‘fraud’ in the electoral process, their perspectives are not entirely aligned. He pointed out that on February 8, PTI received a clear mandate, which he believes was manipulated by the Election Commission and its procedures. He mentioned that Form 45, which is crucial in the election process, was discarded, leading to what he describes as the theft of PTI’s mandate. He asserted that if the mandate is restored, PTI would secure a majority in Parliament. The PTI leader also addressed past allegations against the party in the 2018 and 2013 elections, questioning the legitimacy of the 2024 elections, and reiterated that PTI’s mandate, especially in Kar
