IG Islamabad to take legal action against PTI rally organizers

ISLAMABAD: Inspector General (IG) of Islamabad has declared legal action against the organizers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) rally in Sangjani for violating the NOC, ARY News reported on Sunday. In a conversation with ARY News, IG Islamabad – Ali Nasir Rizvi – stated that the scheduled time for the rally was 7pm, but the organizers violated the NOC. The rally route was also breached at Chongi No. 26 area, which forces law enforcement to response, additionally he confirmed that legal action will be taken against the rally organizers for these violations. Despite being contacted, the organizers did not submit a request to extend the rally time, the officer added. KARACHI: An anchor of a private news channel, died in a traffic accident on Shariah Faisal in Karachi, ARY News reported on Sunday. As per the police officials, a vehicle was collided on the footpath which leads to the death of an individual identified as Syed Abdullah. The rescue officials rushed to the scene and while taking Abdullah to Jinnah Hospital he succumbed to his injuries. Administration ‘decides’ to block roads ahead of PTI public gathering

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad administration and police decided to block all internal and external routes of the capital city ahead of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) public gathering on September 8, ARY News reported citing sources. All internal and external routes will be closed by midnight on Saturday and Sunday, the sources added.
