Baba Siddique: NCP leader shot dead in India

India’s Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Baba Siddique was shot dead in Mumbai’s Bandra on Saturday, local media reported. Baba Siddique, famous for hosting Iftar dinners every year, sustained bullet injuries in his chest as three rounds were fired. He was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. Chief Minister of Maharashtra Eknath Shindem also confirmed Baba Siddique’s death quoting the police. Baba Siddique was attacked by unidentified people outside his son’s office in Bandra and rushed to Lilavati Hospital. “Two to three rounds were fired. Further probe is underway as teams have rushed to the area,” a police official said. The investigating agencies are yet to confirm the actual reason behind the assassination. Nintendo sets mystery online test ahead of Switch 2 release

Nintendo is set to perform a mystery online playtest for a new feature ahead of the launching its hotly-anticipated of Switch 2. The Kyoto-based gaming company has revealed that the test will begin on October 23 and run through November 5, a gaming website reported. Those who have an active Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership will be able to sign up for the test, however, they will have to be at least 18 years of age. Those wishing to join the test must have their Nintendo accounts registered in Japan, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, or Spain. KARACHI: The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) has extended the tender date for the installation of e-gates at major airports for the third time, raising concerns over alleged favoritism in awarding the project, ARY News reported on Thursday, citing sources. The deadline which was originally set for August 10, first moved to October 15 and now has been extended to October 25, 2024. The e-gates project, valued at over Rs 2 billion, is aimed at speeding up immigration processes at major airports in Pakistan. Sources suggest that the extension is part of an effort to favor a preferred company for awarding the contract. KARACHI: In a significant development, six Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) regulatory inspectors have completed world-class aviation training in the UK, sponsored by the British Government.
